I remember back when I planned to buy this, I tried to search for a review but there weren’t a lot of them even though I think it deserves more praise and in this post, I’ll tell you why.

For those who aren’t familiar with the brand, The Face Shop is one of the most popular skincare brands in Korea and it was one of the first Korean skincare brand that was popular here in the Philippines.

Before online shopping made it easier and more accessible for us to order from different Korean brands, The Face Shop was the place to buy cute lip tints, and face masks. I myself am a fan of them since they were practically the first Korean brand I used and their products haven’t disappointed me.

My favorite product of theirs that I have tried has to be the Rice Water Bright Facial Foam. Before I explain why, I listed some important details you might need to know first.

What it does

A deep cleansing foam with a creamy texture that helps smoothen and brighten skin. Formulated with rice and soapwort extracts; gently moisturizes, nourishes, and conditions skin; washes away dirt, dust, and even stubborn makeup with natural cleansing agents; leaves complexions looking sparkling

Benefits

-Washes away impurities effortlessly

-Brightens the skin

-Serves as the second step of double cleansing

-Deeply cleanses the skin

-Takes you a step closer to glass-like skin

Price

Php 495.00 ($10.15) for 150 ml

Texture

The cleanser has a pearl-shimmery texture to it and it’s a foam cleanser so it’s a bit thick. It’s very “creamy” though like when you rub it to your palms it feels like a soft cream that bubbles. (Oh yeah, 10/10 best at describing textures!)

Review

*Important side note for this: I used this last year when I still had clear skin so I’m not sure how this will help with active acne or acne scars on the face.

I already mentioned earlier that I really liked this facial wash. It was so refreshing and it never felt drying for me. Because of its creamy texture, rubbing the product on my face felt soft and even moisturizing! My skin was really nice and healthy looking while I used this. And after washing my face it did feel like it brightened my skin a bit, especially on days when it looked tired and dull.

I also love the scent of this, so for those who dislike or are sensitive to products with fragrance, be warned. But, if you don’t mind a little scent then go for this product! Even my friend who visited me one time and borrowed it liked it after just one wash.

If you want a facial cleanser that cleans your face well without feeling dry and if you want to brighten dull-looking skin, then I definitely recommend this!

Pros

-Non-Drying

-Good for all skin types

-Did not break me out

-Nice scent

-Creamy texture

-Affordable (compared to other Korean Facial cleansers)

Cons

-Has fragrance (if you are sensitive that)

-Did not make me sparkle as what they claimed (though I think I have to be a vampire in twilight to achieve that haha)

Repurchase? = Yes!
